ELECTRA HERNÁNDEZ

Singer-songwriter and performing artist. Born and raised in Chile’s Central Valley, though with a nomadic spirit, she spent part of her childhood working at street markets with her family in Rengo. During her teenage years, she began producing and composing songs on her computer, and at age 17, she moved to Valparaíso to dedicate her life to both theater and music. In addition to participating in various theatrical productions, she also wrote her own play, Amor en Roma, in memory of her late friend Roma Gallegos.

At 23, she moved to Concepción to continue developing in both disciplines, releasing her first EP, REPRÍS, edited by the independent record label SurPop Records, and touring across Argentina, Peru, and Chile. She is currently working on her first full-length album—a work that encompasses the past six years of her personal life, family relationships, friendship breakups, and identity exploration.
